Yes! Ufology is a Subject Academics Should be Researching!
Meet Matthew Hayes: A PhD that dared to complete his Doctorate with a Dissertation on the History of UFOs in Canada.
I’m an educator, researcher, and filmmaker.
Dr. Hayes teaches philosophy, politics, English, and ethics at Northern Lakes College. He received his PhD from Trent University and held a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Western Ontario. He studies conspiracy theories, pseudoscience, “cranks,” UFOs and the supernatural, and Cold War espionage.
My doctoral research was featured on CBC Radio’s Ideas, which became the subject of my book Search for the Unknown.

The attendance was exceptional, with a standing room-only crowd. Scott and Janet Wolter’s presentation exceeded our expectations.
Scott Wolter has garnered a global following due to his profound expertise in the forensic analysis of stone. His work has even contributed to the resolution of cases of interest to true crime enthusiasts. Notably, among the thousands of ancient documents he now possesses, there are accounts of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the ancient world that were previously unknown.
Scott and his wife, Janet, have authored several books (listed below) that aim to unravel the mysteries of our ancient past and their contemporary implications. Perhaps the most renowned is his forensic analysis of the Kensington Rune Stone, which he has conclusively proven to be authentic. This analysis demonstrates the presence of individuals in North America long before Christopher Columbus’s arrival.
Scott Wolter has acquired 20 books written by Sinclair and Wemyss in Latin, Old English, and Modern English. These books chronicle their global journeys to discover the “Free Templar State” in North America. The books were composed between 1353 A.D. and 1770. Additional documents are anticipated for release this year, which will hold significant historical importance. We eagerly await their unveiling.
The Knights Templar treasure holds immense fascination for numerous individuals, particularly those who adhere to the Mystery of Oak Island. According to Scott, a portion of the treasure was indeed present. The treasure was interred in various locations, with Oak Island being one of them. To ascertain its ultimate destination, one must consult his books. His extensive knowledge was conveyed in a concise two-hour presentation, necessitating the purchase of his books, which many did.

Scott’s Bio:
Scott Wolter is a Forensic Geologist who has operated American Petrographic Services Inc., a Material Forensic Laboratory in St. Paul, Minnesota, since 1990. He is a Master Mason, 32-degree Scottish Rite Freemason, a Sir Knight in the York Rite with Zion Commandery #2, a soon to be 8th Grade Frater in the SRCIF, North Dakota College and a member of the Martinist Order. Scott has written six books focused on the theme of “Templars in America“. Scott Hosted four seasons of the History Channel show, America Unearthed and has appeared in several television shows and the popular streaming series, Mysteries of the Knights Templar on Gaia.

Camille’s Bio:
Camille James Harman, MFA, is an actress and UFO experiencer with such credits as: the Oscar-winning film Vice, in the role of Mary Matalin, as well as Shameless, the Lifetime movie A Daughter’s Deceit and numerous films, web series, commercials and music videos. Harman was Executive Producer on the award-winning short film Toro de Oro. In 1992, she won the Storer Boone Award in New Orleans for Best Supporting Actress in The Playboy of the Western World. In 2022 she won three international Best Actress Awards for the short film Tigerlily.
In late 1995, soon after moving to LA from New Orleans, Harman had her first UFO sighting. Abduction experiences followed. She underwent hypnosis sessions with Barbara Lamb and Yvonne Smith, which revealed medical experiences with presumed aliens and human military as well as positive light beings of pure love. She also wrote for UFO magazine from 2000-2004, which allowed her to meet many legendary UFO researchers.

Kathleen Marden has spent most of her life seeking answers to the perplexing nature of UFOs and ET contact through investigation, research, and experimentation. She joined MUFON in 1991, and quickly became a certified field investigator and State Section Director for NH MUFON. In 1996, MUFON appointed her to the position of National Director of Field Investigator Training. In 2011, she moved on as MUFON’s Director of Abduction Studies where she collaborated with a team of consultants to write the protocols for the “Investigation of UFO Abduction” which appears in the MUFON Field Investigator’s Manual. In 2012, she founded MUFON’s Experiencer Research (now Resource) Team. Over a ten-year period, Kathleen expanded her team from three members to forty-five trained, seasoned specialists and attracted several PhD and MD psychological and research consultants. She is now the Director Emeritus and Consultant to the ERT and serves on its Executive Committee. In 2003, MUFON dedicated its annual “International UFO Proceedings” proceedings to Kathleen Marden for her “most outstanding contribution to the Mutual UFO Network.” In 2012, the Mutual UFO Network presented her with its “Researcher of the Year” award. In 2015, MUFON dedicated its International Symposium Proceedings to her and her team for “working tirelessly to help experiencers from around the world get the help they need to cope with the extraordinary events happening to them in their lives.” In 2021, International UFO Congress presented her with its “Lifetime Achievement Award.” She has appeared as an on-camera commentator on thirty-eight television and video productions. Researcher Mike Ricksecker is the author of the award-winning Travels Through Time, Amazon best-sellers A Walk In The Shadows and Alaska’s Mysterious Triangle, as well as several historic paranormal books. He has appeared on multiple television shows and programs, including History Channel’s Ancient Aliens and The UnXplained, Travel Channel’s The Alaska Triangle, Discovery+’s Fright Club, Animal Planet’s The Haunted, multiple series on Gaia TV, and more. Mike is the producer and director of the docu-series, The Shadow Dimension, available on several streaming platforms, and produces additional full-length content on ancient wisdom, lost civilizations, UFOs, and the supernatural on his extensive YouTube channel.
For more than seven years he has hosted The Edge of the Rabbit Hole livestream show and he also hosts the Connecting the Universe interactive class on his online learning platform, the Connected Universe Portal. Michael Schratt (private pilot/military aerospace historian) has lectured across the country on the unique subject of “Mystery Aircraft”, and classified propulsion systems buried deep within the military industrial complex. A guest speaker at the “OSHKOSH” AirVenture 2006/2007event, (world’s largest air show), Michael has developed a number of contacts which have had first hand experience dealing classified “black programs”, including former USAF pilots, retired Naval personnel, and aerospace engineers that have maintained a TOP SECRET SCI security clearance. Michael currently works as a SolidWorks draftsman. In an effort to expose government fraud, waste and abuse, Michael devotes much of his free time researching aerospace technical documents, conducting interviews, and travelling to multiple University archives. As a concerned citizen, it’s his belief that it is our Constitutional obligation to question authority, and demand an accounting of special access programs that bypass congressional oversight and public scrutiny.
Over the 30 years, Michael has investigated over 75,000 UFO case files through real world “boots on the ground” research. This entails visiting UFO collections at university archives, private files, and UFO special collections. Additional historical UFO files were also secured from the flowing research organizations: APRO, NICAP, MUFON, CUFOS and the National UFO Historical Records Center (NUFOHRC). Michael has appeared on multiple TV programs including Hangar 1 for the History Channel. He has lectured on historical UFO cases at multiple venues including: The International UFO Congress, MUFON Symposium, Contact in the Desert and the Ozark Mountain UFO Conference.
